Tammuz sharpens vision by interrupting illusion. A breach often begins long before it can be seen from the outside; this month asks us to notice the small fractures we have normalized.
Clear sight is not cynicism. It is a form of mercy that allows repair to begin before denial hardens. What breaks an illusion can also return us to reality, where a truer foundation becomes possible.
